The Spear Tip of Innovation
Customizable to Your Needs
Individualized Solutions
Every platform, environment, and mission profile comes with its own unique demands. Our engineering team designs antenna systems from the ground up, ensuring optimal performance across the exact frequency ranges, installation constraints, and operational conditions you specify. From compact UAV integration to rugged defense-grade solutions, we build technology that adapts to you, not the other way around.
Customer-Driven Adjustments
We work hand-in-hand with your development teams to refine every detail. Whether you need specific gain characteristics, specialized radiation patterns, or mechanical adaptations for challenging mounting positions, we implement precise modifications that align with your system architecture. This collaborative approach ensures seamless integration and predictable performance.
Deep Testing & Verification
Reliability is non-negotiable. That’s why each antenna undergoes comprehensive testing cycles, covering RF characterization, environmental exposure, vibration resistance, and long-term stability analysis. Our facilities simulate real-world mission scenarios to verify that every unit performs flawlessly before it reaches your hands. By the time it ships, it's already mission-ready.
Optimized Link Budget
Communication performance is only as strong as its weakest link. We optimize the entire link budget, ensuring consistent connectivity, extended range, and robust data throughput even in complex or contested environments. Through a combination of precise antenna design, advanced simulation, and iterative tuning, we help you achieve maximum communication reliability where it matters most.

What is a Blade Antenna?
A blade antenna is a low-profile monopole designed for high-speed platforms. Its rigid housing eliminates the drag and mechanical vibrations common in traditional whip antennas.
The design is built for SWaP-optimization (Space, Weight, and Power). Its compact footprint ensures seamless airframe integration (Space), while the ultralight build is critical for maximizing UAV flight endurance (Weight). High RF efficiency and low VSWR optimize the link budget, ensuring reliable data throughput without increasing the energy load on radio hardware (Power).
This architecture ensures stable, aerodynamically neutral data links in professional UAV and RPAS operations.
Why Choose a PIDSO Blade Antenna?
PIDSO blade antennas provide professional-grade RF performance based on over 15 years of HF engineering expertise. As an EN 9100 certified manufacturer and member of the Riedel Communications Group, the company maintains aerospace-grade quality from initial concept to series production.
Development integrates advanced 3D electromagnetic field simulators and fully automated in-house anechoic measurement chamber testing to optimize radiation patterns for specific airframes. Reliability is verified through rigorous environmental simulations, including climate chamber testing from -70°C to +180°C, validating stability in extreme operational conditions.
This end-to-end capability in Austria supports everything from small batch prototyping to high-volume production, delivering optimized link budgets and sovereign technology for tactical and high-speed applications.
