A careful analysis of the context and the interaction of high-frequency simulation and measurements in the laboratory and on the vehicle are the rank and file for a solid antenna development

Since its establishment, PIDSO creates antenna systems for unmanned systems and gained experience in many different application areas with the following objectives in the recent years:

  • Weight and size reduction (SWaP) for longer range and higher payload 
  • Aerodynamically neutral integration of antennas on the surface of the aircraft (for example, carbon fiber structures)
  • Integration of different frequencies into one antenna enclosure

The business segment Unmanned Systems intensively deals with reducing size, weight and power requirements (reduced SWaP) of wireless data transmission systems to optimize the range and payload of unmanned aerial vehicles especially. 

Last but not least, the development team of PIDSO is also concerned with the integration of antennas into existing structures, such as composite materials. For a seamless integration, the patented PIDSO method for manufacturing carbon antennas can be deployed for maximum weight advantage.

Automotive

PIDSO is developing tailored wireless solutions for the automotive industry for many years. Objectives are in particular weight reduction as well as the optimization of the data transfer. 

The services in the automotive business unit range from circuit design through design of complete data transfer solutions to measurement and optimization of existing antennas. Above all, the engineering team of PIDSO addresses the following tasks:
